This summer saw yet another classic Mopar involved in a disastrous road accident; a ’69 Charger had ‘gotten tail ended while broken down on a busy Suffolk road. Seems like the car is going to be repaired but this does emphasise how important up- to- date vehicle valuation reports are.
Back in August, a week after the UK, the German MoparEuroNats happened in Herten – a town between Dortmund and Essen in Germany. This year’s attendance saw nearly 500 Chrysler cars appear at the gathering. I joined in the merriment a few years back and it was a great experience- the quality of Mopar machinery is outstanding and the fun factor was 100%!
Try to get along to this outstanding Moparfest organised by moparshop.de
Here’s a few snaps from it:
I missed Brooklands September American Bash. Tilford Rural show and all the Victory Wheelers shows, mainly down to fuel problems with the Barracuda which will hopefully be resolved in 2019.
My favourite Mopar doing the rounds on eBay this Autumn is a mean looking 70 Beeper 440 6 Barrell, V code car – it looks like it just came off a street racing dual back in the day! Is it in your Watch List too?
Barn finds still crop up in the States too and a yellow Superbird seems the latest – owner is looking for $128,000!
Just a foot note on this year’s UK MoparEuroNats…. I managed to hitch a ride up the 1320 in Andy Robinson’s outstanding Dodge Daytona, running though the traps in 13.50 secs with the hemi pulling strong. It goes to show that this old Mopar is as happy on the track as having its arse polished off! Thanks Andy!
A date for your dairy now.
I’m pleased to announce that the Mopar Euronationals will be returning to Santa Pod in August 2019.
Early bird tickets will be available to buy from next month.
