Having first acquired a classic Rover P6 at just 21 years old, Tony quickly moved onto the American car scene. With a diploma in mechanical engineering and design, awarded by the City and Guilds of London, he soon turned his hand to car maintenance.
In 1994, Tony had his first article published in Classic American (magazine) – a publication which specilises in the very best of american motors. And he continues to write for them today in a monthly column called “Muscle Car Files”. From there on in, other feature articles followed in American Car World, Custom Car and Classic and Sports Car magazines.
In 2000, Tony went on to win the coveted “ Personality of the Year” award at the NEC classic car show which was given out by Classic (C) and Sports Car (SC) for his recognition to the old car hobby. He also resurrected the Chrysler Car Club in the UK, and re-named Mopar Muscle Association UK who host an all Pentastar show at Brooklands Museum.
For 8 years Tony was sales director and buyer at Muscle Car Imports – a specialist American car importer – bringing many Muscle Cars into the UK and Europe. He studied the de-coding of factory vin data plates meticulously and attended seminars on the subject in the USA where he achieved a “Mopar” degree within the Chrysler fraternity.
In July 1997, Tony joined the board of the MoparEuroNats Ltd and became the a co -organiser of the Mopar Euronationals.
