As we roll on through the year the car shows are coming thick and fast.
The MMA Chrysler Day at Brooklands is always a firm favourite of mine, a sunny Bank Holiday at the end of May certainly brought out some mighty fine muscle cars. This year quality prevailed over quantity as the numbers were a tad down although an eclectic mix of muscle cars were on hand.

Hi folks and a Merry Christmas to you all.
I missed the NEC Classic show at Birmingham in November despite having three requests to attend from various folk. Good to hear a mopar win the Classic American car of the year, a fab 1957 Dodge Custom Royal rag top. Well done Gary Sanders.
Barn finds still turn up in the States; last month a 1970 440 6 pack V code Charger came out of enforced hibernation, finished in Go-Mango orange, excellent!

Well I guess it had to happen sometime this summer for a major American car show to fall foul to more typical British summer conditions than we have expected, and that’s exactly what happened at this year’s MoparEuroNats on 27, 28 & 29 July
Hope all is well.
Not much happened with me since the Chryslers at Brooklands show at the end of May -one of my favourite venues for a car show. I took the trusty Barracuda but she didn’t seem to run right, so have ordered a new carburettor. The show was very well attended with perfect weather and a whole host of gleaming muscle cars. For instance, a great looking 1970 Cuda convertible with an added Hemi engine came along, the car was used in the Johnny Depp movie Dark Shadow. Another odd-ball car was a 1973 Chrysler Valiant Charger with a 225ci six banger from South Africa, I also warmed to a very nice EV2 orange 1970 Challenger R/T.

It’s that time of year again when we prepare our muscle cars for the Mopar Euronationals on Friday 28 July, Saturday 29 July and Sunday 30 July.
Come a week Friday, there will be a mass descent of Dodges, Plymouths, Chyslers and other fine american cars making the pilgrimage to Santa Pod for the most anticipated car show of the year among us petrol heads.
Hurrah! The car show season is in full swing.
I attended two shows over the May Bank holiday, both very different occasions yet equally enjoyable; first up was the return of the Mopar Muscle Association (MMA) and then there was the Haslemere Classic Car Show the day after.
